自从youtube被封以来不知道为什么一下子就没了写博的热情，还有就是天气一直不好，一到周末就下雨，不过一直和同事坚持跑步，一周三次，一次跑一个5k,有时跑个10k.那天一口气在淘宝里买了十几本国外的体育，自行车，跑步杂志看看他们的杂志。带着期待的心情收到了杂志，杂志纸张很舒服，照片的规格很高。爱不释手啊！昨天起了个早，和一帮朋友出去了，去的地方是鄞州的邹溪村，往前一走就是铁砂岭水库，往里走点就是山路了，很陡，下车推行，路很少有人走，山上的水也顺着路流，很有点探路的味道。这次骑行最让我有体会的是几个老人骑得很棒！体力超好！我跟着很吃力，回程时被他们甩了，rule of thumb is to stay with the pack.昨晚第一次八点以前睡着了，看着电影就眯瞪了，一觉醒来已是早上5点20，口水擦干（昨晚吃得多），上班！

Rob Thomson新西兰人 2006年7月骑单车从日本出发行程12000公里一年后到家。紧接着2007年6月出发踩滑板，在无人帮助的情况下只身一人又完成了12000公里横跨中国，北美，欧洲的创吉尼斯世界纪录的旅行。我是昨天在听我ipod的podcast 的doing stuff outdoors 的最新一期的更新内容里听到的他的采访，简直不可思议。他本人是在日本作翻译的，三年后合同到了，想想便打算骑会家。一路上他不断的更新他的博客，说美国，欧洲的发达国家找个网吧很难，在中国这是个很容易的事。路上他也感觉到很多国家的办事效率低，繁文缛节的东西很多，签证特别难搞，一般都是前社会主义国家。他的名字上有连接，有兴趣的话去看看，他的博客里写得很详细，像一本百科全书。古人说要“行万里路，读万卷书”，十年前从未对这句话有过什么强烈的感觉，近几年来却越来越能体会其寓意之深。在我听完他的采访后就一个词可以形容：佩服！

看美国的听证会有时感觉特解恨，前几天看了AIG的国会听证会hearing ，觉得人家的国会干部领导说话这么大胆直接，言辞很激烈。羞辱，甚至破口大骂。最经典的还要数Senator Charles Grassley，两条路。要么辞职resign,要么自杀kill yourself.说的太好了。还有Congressman Barney Frank 把AIG的老总批的是狗血碰头。最近听到最多的几个词汇就是disgusting ,outragous!这种权利的监督和平衡，媒体的透明度难免让人羡慕啊！

我的第一摔！（横溪水库-金山村-牛山村之行）

这次金牛村金山村之行是骑车以来最舒服的一次。不是因为路没有挑战。相反，什么路面都有。爬坡，推行，山地速降。主要是因为这个地方很少有人，没有什么干扰。去的几个村子都是老人和小孩。年轻人找不到。星期天加上太阳也好，坐在村里的唯一一家小卖铺前吃点东西，休息。村里老人都过来聊天。坐我傍边的老人94岁了，晕吧？他这个年龄的人很多。村子偏僻，报纸都是几天前的。正吃着呢，看一老乡赶着一群羊从商店门口经过，在宁波第一次看见有人放羊。我问店里的阿姨要了一壶茶。晒着太阳，跟老乡聊聊天，吃点带的东西，再喝两口茶，能舒服死你！！！下山时我重重的摔了一跤，不过没事，就是点皮外伤。车轮扁了，我就这么骑回来了，用了别人两倍的时间和体力，就算吸取教训吧！本次骑车打分8.5分。期待下个周末！

前几天听itune上面的下载的节目blue pizza，有一期叫Himalayan Adventure Guide Becky Harrison说的是她长期在喜马拉雅地区活动的见闻，其中最让人不可思议的是喜马拉雅山上的马拉松！随后便开始发疯一样找东西，也在磨房和flickr里找到了好多照片.下面的东西是点笔记，害怕以后忘掉。

2. Ascending from the south, climbers make use of five different camps as they adjust to high altitude. Base Camp is located at 17,600 feet (5364 m).
3. The researchers discovered that Tibetans exhale much less nitric oxide一氧化氮(NO) than a control group living at sea level did. What's more, the Tibetans' lungs transferred twice the amount of nitric oxide from their lung walls into their bloodstreams than their sea-level-dwelling counterparts'. Nitric oxide is believed to aid in the expansion of blood vessels. Blood flows more easily, which allows the heart to work at a normal pace, due to the decrease in blood pressure from vessel expansion.

芝林很美！山水的搭配十分舒服。我是第一次去，但以后还会再去的。我喜欢她因为从公路下来就是一段很好的山地路段，不长但很有山地的感觉。路上都是大小不一的石块，震得的人手疼。还有就是整个路段都有山上流下的泉水，听着水声，看着风景不由得你想多呆一会。其实芝林倒也是个背包backpacking爬山露营camping的好去处。晚上山里留宿一晚，听听溪水，虫鸣，围着篝火聊聊天应该是最惬意的了。去芝林很方便市区柳丁街一直朝下走，往大隐方向走，走到芝林小学的桥头上左拐，骑三分钟便是芝林了。

回到市区去朋友的店里坐坐，好久没有聊了。他们一家人和我一起吃了晚饭，马民航说起了了今年全家在北京过得年，他们很喜欢北京。回来的路上下着大雨，但心里美滋滋的，一天又过去了，期待下次出行。

从去年八月开始骑车到现在也快半年了，每个月都会争取骑两三次。当时买车是一时赌气，因为刚买的凤凰牌上班用的自行车骑了几天就让我把车脚踏蹬断了。所以一气之下就买了个山地，没想到这一千多块给我带来了很多快乐的记忆。从八月酷暑出外拍摄到爬福泉山，括苍山，附近几个水库，露营，做饭。09到来奉上一部山地影片。几个毛小伙太有激情了，玩得方法也真是让人大开眼界。我可能玩不到他们的境界了，这帮孩子想尽办法玩，连什么挖土机，推土机，卡车，游泳池，能用都用了！看着特过瘾！！！

听完他们的采访后真得发现对他们的看法有点不一样了。在采访里有这么几句话说得很好：
1.做事要有激情，要有高要求。
2.做事要有规矩，照章办事。
3.做事要有分寸，公私分明。
他们确实不同于其他乐队，不穿摇滚歌星常穿的皮衣皮裤；不吸毒；新歌在几个人中如有分歧就不发行，必须大家一致通过；乐队成员对媒体给予chris的关注看得很开；所有收入大家平分，中国人说的够哥们够义气。可能这些跟这几个人是老师家庭出身有关吧。他们十分的谦虚，说乐队的成功得益于u2乐队休假去了。呵呵！大家自己看看吧。采访原稿A Look At The "Mystery" Of Coldplay(CBS) The small, exclusive club of rock musicians that can legitimately claim to be among the very best in the world got four new members this past year: the British rock quartet Coldplay, led by singer Chris Martin.

In the midst of a deep recession, in a music industry fighting for survival, the group's fourth straight multi-platinum album "Viva La Vida" has sold an astounding seven million copies and snagged seven nominations for Sunday's Grammy Awards, including best album, best song and best record. Its current world tour is virtually sold out, as 60 Minutes found out when we followed them from Orlando and Chicago to London and Belfast.

London just before Christmas - the soaring melodies, the thumping beat of the music, and the quirky离奇的 charisma of lead singer Chris Martin had the crowd on its feet.

"We rely more on enthusiasm than actual skill," he told correspondent Steve Kroft. "Whatever you do, do it enthusiastically and people will like it more."

"I can't dance like Usher. I can't sing like Beyonce. I can't write songs like Elton John," he said. "But, we can do the best we can with what we've got. …. And so that's what we do. We just go for it."

They're all barely 30, but they have already been together for 12 years; Martin and guitarist Jonny Buckland, bass player Guy Berryman and drummer Will Champion.

By the time this tour ends they will have played before three million people, but you wouldn't know it from talking to them. When Kroft first met Martin and Buckland at a pub in northwest London, which served as their first office, we found them modest and self-effacing不喜出风头的, 谦卑的.

"Look, you guys are one of the biggest groups in the world right now. How did that happen?" Kroft asked.

"There's a lot of people asking the same question," Martin said.

"All we do is, we try really, really hard," Buckland said, laughing.

"And the other reason why we do well is because U2 is still on holiday. So…they're back in March. So, you know, as soon as they come back, we drop down the ladder a bit," Martin joked. "So, we're in our last week of substitute teaching."

The band's life still revolves around the neighborhood where they first met. Four middle class college boys, all sons of teachers, who shared a love of music and a $100 a week flat on Camden Road.

They signed a record deal upon graduation, and most of the songs written there ended up on their debut album, which shot to number one on the British charts.

"Your very first album…you had a world wide hit, in 'Yellow,'" Kroft noted.

"What's it about? F… knows," Martin replied. "I've got no idea. I still think about that every day."

"I love playing it. I love the tune. I love the chords和弦. I love the balloons that we use live. But I still can't quite work out what it's about," he said, laughing.

"Even if I don't really feel like playing it, those guys have paid their ticket money. They wanted to see us play 'Yellow,' so we'll play it," he said.

"You wanta give 'em what they came for," Kroft said.

"And something extra, because when we look from the stage, you can't really see people so much, but you can see the light of the doorway of all the exits so the way to tell at the beginning of a tour, which songs are working, and which ones aren't, is if you see people it - people's silhouettes侧面影象, 轮廓 in the exits, then it means you're probably not playin' the right song, 'cause a lot of people are goin' to get a hot dog, or whatever. So I know we're doing okay, when all the exits are clear. That's my way of judge it. The silhouette factor," Martin said.

There was certainly no one leaving after the first few notes of "Clocks," their Grammy winning record of the year for 2003 and one of the hits off their second album.

All exceptional musicians, their distinctive, alternative rock sound has found a huge mainstream audience that spans several generations of fans. Not even Chris Martin quite knows how to classify the music, the band or himself as we found out.

"And you decided to be a rock star, when?" Kroft asked.

"Well, I don't like the word 'rock star,' the two words, 'rock star.' Not even 'soft rock star,'" Martin replied, laughing. "Not even limestone star. I don't like those words."

Asked why, Martin told Kroft, "Because I don't wear the right pants for that. You gotta wear the right trousers if you're gonna be a rock star."

You won't catch the band in tight leather pants or snorting drugs of the back of a stripper. The British press often rags on them责备或者取笑 for being too earnest and boring. They are extremely conscientious, dedicated to their music and leave a small carbon footprint. They all share equally in the profits and Will Champion and Guy Berryman are thrilled that Chris Martin gets all the attention.

"I couldn't imagine coming out of my house and there being photographers out there. I wouldn't be able to just walk away from that," Berryman explained.

"It’s a blessing to be in this band and to not be the singer," Champion added.

"They seem perfectly happy to let you have…the spotlight," Kroft noted.

"I know, and that annoys me. My dream is that Will suddenly says, 'I'm gonna be a flamboyant辉耀的, homosexual, drummer, wear outrageous clothes, and say outrageous things,'" Martin said. "I would love nothing more, partly just to see how it looked, but also, because, you know, sometimes, you want a bit of help."

Someone wrote that Chris Martin "is like watching an unsteady trapeze act高空吊秋千" - one moment brimming with self confidence, anxious and angst焦虑; 苦恼 ridden the next.

We saw some of it at the band's Camden recording studio, where he was both structured and random, a bundle of kinetic 动的energy always on the move.

"One of the things that surprises me, you're out on tour. You're not even finished with this tour, and you're already workin' on the next album?" Kroft asked. "Take a break?"

"No. Take a break when I'm 40, or 35," Martin said. "Not now. I've gotta keep writin' songs as long as I've got hair, 'cause once it goes, then I won't be able to go on stage."

He is a compulsive worrier and list-maker. He sends himself electronic messages, and scrawls notes on scraps of paper, on his hands, and anything else that's available, lest he forget some brilliant idea.

"And you have notes written on the piano," Kroft pointed out.

"Yeah a little, but this is just the beginning, so, in six months, this will all be covered, I think," Martin explained.

"Then you have to repaint the piano?" Kroft asked.

"Yeah. So when we finish something, we repaint, you know?" Martin said.

Like many artists, he is openly, gloriously neurotic神经质的. "Then we have all our rules here. We've got our rules, so you can't have more than 42 minutes. These are just things you just have to remind yourselves of all the time. The rules are important," Martin told Kroft, showing him a list of rules pinned on a wall. "See, look at rule number six, not many interviews. That's a rule."

"Always keep mystery," Kroft read from rule number six.

"Always, always keep mystery," Martin said, laughing. "This is private stuff."

With the band in the middle of a tour, most of the new music is being worked on during sound checks before concerts. It is a collaborative effort with Martin and Jonny Buckland leading the way, but everyone has a say.

"The song Viva la Vida, the one we just did last year. I said, listen man, I got this and it goes something like that, I always say something like that… and it drives him crazy," Martin said, playing the piano and singing.

"And Jonny says what?" Kroft asked.

"And if Jonny says he likes it then I have to show it to Will, which is one of the things I fear most in my life," Martin said.

"So this is like the UN Security Council, one veto and its…," Kroft said.

"One veto and it goes on your solo," Martin explained.

Given their professed history with Viva La Vida and their past track record writing songs, the band was stunned when not one but two different artists claimed that Coldplay had plagiarized part of the melody. The band says any similarities are a coincidence and they have refused to settle out of court.

"I think that the way to deal with these things, if you know it's not true then you just have to say, 'I'm really sorry, but it isn't true.' That's it," Martin told Kroft. "The other alternative is give like a seven hour rant about why it isn't true, and how it's just not possible. And I think for the purposes of this interview its best to say we would never do that."

Martin is used to some unwanted attention. Besides being rich and famous, he is also married to one of the most beautiful women in the world, Academy Award winning actress Gwyneth Paltrow.

It has made them prey for the paparazzi, with whom Martin has frequently clashed, and fodder for the tabloids, which regularly run stories that the marriage and the band are on the verge of breaking up.

Asked what it's like living in a tabloid world, Martin said, "One week you're divorced, the next week your band's broken up. It's terrible."

"That's what they're sayin' now," Kroft pointed out.

"I'm glad I'm not me," Martin said, laughing. "That, by the way, is a Bob Dylan quote, in case you thought I thought it up".

"Right. And we shouldn't we shouldn't take these articles about the band breaking up and you and your wife breaking up," Kroft said.

"All I can tell you is, I mean it's news to me," Martin replied, laughing.

The couple seemed perfectly happy when we were around at this concert in London, but they don't like cameras present when they are together, refuse to sit for joint interviews and insist on keeping their careers separate and their private lives private.

Asked why their public lives are completely separate, Martin said, "Well, it's just the way it feels best."

"Is this the one thing that you hate talking about the most?" Kroft asked.

"Well, you can see from my body language that it makes me really uncomfortable," Martin acknowledged.

"Okay, we'll stop now," Kroft said.

"This is the bit which in an outtakes where people storm out. I'm not storming out, Steve," Martin said, laughing. "I like you very much. But, I don't know how to talk about this stuff, to be honest. I don't know how to deal with it."

As they head out on the next leg of the tour, there is no road weariness or talk of exhaustion. In fact they have been thinking about a song for next Christmas. They are all still young enough to find this fun, enthusiastic about what lies ahead, and confident that they are not yet as good as they are going to be.

Martin sang a bit of a Christmas tune. "The goal is to try and make the perfect song. Which of course will never happen," Martin acknowledged.

He had written the tune the day before. "That's gonna be good, though. …I can feel it."

去年上旅游那个单元备课的时候就无意中在电驴emule里发现了这个节目，下了一个季就看上瘾了。过了几天上课时就把这个视频给学生放，每个班的放的内容都不一样，可是大家的反应是一样的。“太棒了”！虽然里面有演的成分但不影响大家对他的信赖。课后让学生自己找英文的户外知识，下次课大家相互交流。两周的课放了两三次这个节目，大家既学习了很多户外知识有学了英语，我自己也感觉收获很大。找资料的时候无意中找到了美国陆军野外生存手册的改写版FM 21-76 US ARMY SURVIVAL MANUAL，不过有点长都是英文的，但很全面。这个片子有一个共同点：拜尔在每一集里都在极度饿的情况下吃一些很恶心的动物，比如蜘蛛啊，动物尸体，蛇啊。有一两集他情急之下喝自己的尿，真是很gross。不过每一集里都有很多简单易学的小窍门，比如搭帐篷，找食物,辨别方向等。今天看了下电驴，又有新的episode了。我刚看完他在美国俄勒冈拍的一起，很扣人心悬。

前不久在家无聊在itune里搜索有没有outdoor的podcast，一查还查到了很多节目。有一个叫Survivorman，节目是由一个加拿大人叫Les Stroud主持的。比上面的英国人更绝的是这个人没有任何外界帮助和联系，他一个人戴很多帽子，主持，摄像，都他一个人干。在bear的采访里也提及了他，记者问他les是你的对手还是同事。下面是bear grills的采访部分内容。 Bear Gryllsgranted Outside an exclusive e-mail interview拜尔格里尔斯接受户外杂志的采访.

OUTSIDE: Where exactly are you right now?
GRYLLS: I'm on our houseboat on the River Thames in London. It is an old Dutch barge大型平底船that my wife, Shara, and me bought together when we got married after I left the Special Forces. It's quite ancient and is full of character, despite leaking in several places, but we love it. It's home. I'm also trying to pack, (with much help from my two young boys!) before I leave for Panama, Patagonia and then Siberia, for the next Season of Man Vs. Wild. I'm going to be away from my family now for almost six weeks, which I find the hardest part of my work.

OUTSIDE: How does the filming of Man Vs. Wild compare with some of your most challenging adventures, like climbing Everest or crossing the North Atlantic in an inflatable boat? Is it more or less difficult in terms of physical or emotional stress?
When you're battling any of nature's wild forces, it demands that you give a lot of yourself to survive. But the difference between making a TV show and a major expedition is quite stark. For starters, at 29,000ft on Everest, in -30oF, the rule book goes out of the window. It is just dangerous. I witnessed four climbers not return from the mountain when I was there, and that shakes your confidence a lot. Likewise in a small open boat in the North Atlantic during a gale force storm, with icebergs all around you, there are no health & safety regulations! These are humbling and intimidating places to be, and at times survival comes down to pure luck. The level of stress in such situations becomes quite high, with every cell in your body focused and concentrating on not making any potentially fatal mistakes. In Man Vs. Wild I am rarely under that level of stress, although at times it is definitely quite full-on. For example, on the last shoot in the Sahara Desert, the daily temperature was around 150°F. After three days, we had to evacuate two of the crew with heatstroke, one of who was the local Arab guide. But to me, Man Vs. Wild is a programme that takes my experience of extreme environments and has me show what I have learnt from them. I am there to show what I do to survive.

OUTSIDE: What do you to recover from filming an episode of Man Vs. Wild or run of episodes? Do you go on any special diet to put on weight? Sleep 12 hours a night? Drink lots and lots of beer?
We always try and have a bit of an evening at the end of each programme. Everyone will have been working long hours, in tough conditions, and we're always pretty exhausted. When I finally fly home, my family ask how it was, I answer either cold or hot, tell my two boys a goodnight story about any crocodile or snake encounter, and that's about it. Then we are back into normal family life for a precious few days or so, before preparation starts for the next programme. I have to train almost every day back home, and I either do running, circuit training利用多种锻炼方式，跑、跳、扩胸循环训练。or yoga, which I do to protect my back after I broke it in three places during a freefall accident in Africa when I was younger.

OUTSIDE: Ultimately, when you film an episode of Man Vs. Wild, which of the following is more important: to teach viewers serious survivor skills or to make entertaining television?
It is about trying to strike a balance whilst doing both. That is often the hardest part to get right. The production team creates a show that's both compelling to watch, and because of that, people learn by default. There is always masses of information that I try and pack into each show, and I always attempt to do new things that people have never seen, or even considered before, in a survival situation. But one of my goals for season 2 is to make it clearer that this is not a programme about "textbook" survival. It's more like extreme survival, showing what can be done in desperate situations if you have been trained. I always work within my own capabilities, but these capabilities might be different from other people's. I don't want people to copy what I do, but to watch, hopefully enjoy, and in so doing learn something that might one day save their life. This is the aim of survival: to stay alive, and that means operating within your own, personal skill level.

OUTSIDE: When people talk about Man Vs. Wild, the first thing they mention are the gross things you eat—eggs right from a nest, raw fish, water from elephant dung, etc. Is this really the hardest part of the making of show for you?
It's definitely the most unpleasant bit! But the crew always seem to enjoy watching me squirm. I judge whether it was good or not by how much the cameraman is retching作呕, 反胃when we finish! But scavenging food is all part of survival: leaving your prejudices at home and doing whatever it takes to give you energy. Energy in the wild equals movement, and movement is vital in self-rescue. In the early days, Shara wouldn't be that keen on kissing me after each show. Now I don't tell her, and just grab her instead! But the hardest part of the show for me is being away from my family for so long. The survival stuff I know and am trained for. But it is when you are tired and cold that other emotions often run over. I always keep a laminated用薄片层压制成 picture of them in the sole of my shoe. It's my emotional survival pack. What matters in survival is finding that something inside that can keep you going when the chips are really down.

OUTSIDE: Give us a brief run-through of how an episode of Man Vs. Wild comes together, from the original idea to researching survival skills to filing and editing.
I tend to get a few days prep when I arrive in country, to go through all the safety procedures and emergency plans with local rangers and experts. The crew will have pre-scouted a lot of the routes and locations to make sure that we're getting as much information as possible across to the audience. The research for each area is done beforehand by me and the production team, and a local expert will brief me thoroughly on any local survival techniques, dangerous animals and useful plants at that time of year. I feel a bit like a cook who can bake almost all the most common cakes, but when in the high northern hemisphere needs a quick refresher on how to do a baked Alaska meringue蛋白饼糕!

OUTSIDE: Have you ever absolutely refused to do what producers asked? Said, "I won't go there!" or "I won't eat that!" or "I won't do that!"?
Not really. I get to make all my own decisions on what I do or don't do. If anything, it is mainly the other way round, with the production team saying I can't do something due to heath and safety regulations. But I have become good at persuasion! In Iceland I did a river crossing in 50mph winds in sub zero temperatures, with the white water being whipped into a frenzy狂暴, 狂怒, and the safety expert said it was too dangerous to attempt with the currents and wind, as we were struggling to stand up along the volcanic banks. But ultimately it turned out fine. I enjoy those moments, and rise to those sort of challenges. It is the waiting for the crew to set up and check safety that I find boring. I am very impatient!

OUTSIDE: People are constantly comparing Man Vs. Wild with Survivorman. But since your shows are on the same network, do you see Les Stroud《Survivorman生存者》as a competitor or colleague?
I have watched one of his shows, and they are great. Our shows, though, are essentially very different. He is alone and therefore his big struggle is the camera kit, and moving that around. I have a crew, and I suppose that allows me to push it a bit and do a little more action. Both shows serve a purpose but maybe cater to a different audience. There are so few of us doing this sort of thing on TV that it's important to be friends, not rivals. I admire him, for sure.

OUTSIDE: On your blog (beargrylls.blogspot.com), you wrote on August 3 that the recent accusations about you staying in motels and staging parts of the show "don't always tell the full story." Does that mean some of the accusations are false or misleading? Can you respond to these accusations and give us the full story?
It made a good headline: "Bear stays in a motel when filming", but the truth is a bit less exciting. I spend a lot of nights under the stars, and for the times when I am not filming the live stuff out in the wild, or I'm about to illustrate something really physically exhausting, I stay with the crew in a base-camp lodge. As to the question "are things ever staged?", the answer is on occasions, yes. We have to condense so much action into a few days, and that involves good prior planning. But the production team have since edited the previous shows to make this clearer.We are also making the shows for season 2 two hours long, instead of one, allowing us to go into more detail, and to see more of the role and challenges faced by the crew. I think people will enjoy that, especially since we'll now be working in some of the most extreme environments in the world, including the Sahara and Siberia.

OUTSIDE: If you could go back in time and redo anything about the making of Man Vs. Wild, what would you change?
I'd want to make the shows more transparent in terms of how they are made, and also go into more detail. But the shows are reflecting that now, in how they are editing the past ones and making season 2. It will be the kind of show that I always hoped we could make: more crew-inclusive, more detailed, and full of action in spectacular wildernesses.

OUTSIDE: In numerous Web postings, your fans have been passionately defending you, saying they love you and your show no matter what. What is it about Man Vs. Wild that inspires such intense loyalty? And do you feel you might owe these devoted fans an apology for not being completely clear about the making of show?
It's been very humbling, and if I'm honest, I was unprepared for any of this recognition. I have always just gone out there and given my all, done my best and tried to push the boundaries of survival to a new level. I have not been afraid to fail, and have always just kept trying. I think people have reacted to that. But the fame thing I find all a bit embarrassing. The truth is that I am neither a superhero or a real baddie坏蛋. I am just me, doing what I was trained for and what I love to do. The support and encouragement has kept me going through so many difficult moments. I remember one father from Michigan writing to me saying: "When it has been raining for 24 hours, you are cold, frightened and surrounded by nasty creatures, just remember the effect you are having on so many people, encouraging them to love the great outdoors". That sort of thing helped a lot, and ultimately I have learnt that this show is not about me, it is about what it brings out in other people, such as a desire to climb, explore or just get outside.

OUTSIDE: Finally, how have you been coping emotionally with the accusations surrounding the making of Man Vs. Wild?
It's been hard. I'm not that bullet-proof underneath it all! But I just want to say thanks for so much support and encouragement. I will keep giving Man Vs. Wild my absolute everything.

爸说这次戏的组织方请不来陕西省戏曲研究院的戏，西堡村就请来了甘肃的No.1 甘肃省剧团。戏台离家很近，步行过去已是人山人海。正如贾平凹《秦腔》中所说“秦腔与他们，要和“西凤”白酒，长线辣子，大叶卷烟，羊肉泡馍一样成为生命的五大要素之一”。各种各样的小摊到处都是。老远就听到响亮的伴奏声。我走进人群，静静得听了二十几分钟。也许是看进去了，觉得台上演员的一招一式特别的讲究。结合戏台两侧的显示器上的戏词，大略知道唱的什么。实话讲，这是这么大第一次这么仔细的听戏看戏品戏。很小的时候都是老爸骑车带我来看，不过那时不知道是什么，就觉得热闹，好玩。我坐在老爸腿上，他边抖着我，边专心的看，一会我就睡着了。喇叭声音很大，过了一会就有点头晕。四处走动了一下，看到一对爷孙，孙女安静得吃着手里的东西，不时问着爷爷台上的人说什么。老人家一手扶着孙女，一手指着台上的演员慢慢解释。好羡慕！真的希望老爸能和我们待在一起享受一下这种天伦之乐！车票已买好，明晚回宁波。

前一晚在姐家玩了一晚，爸说第二天城里有社火，叫我和姐一家人一起来看。刚到路口就发现路上的车已挤成一推，到处是维持秩序的公安。看架势马上到。我们兵分两路，姐和姐夫找了个地儿坐了下来。我和璐璐便顺着人群朝社火团的方向走去。路两边已是围的水泄不通，我俩找了个人少的高处。社火经过的商店，单位门口都买好了麻花，放好了鞭炮，等着迎接他们。听老爸说，看社火是很吉利的事。一驱百病；二可辟邪；三是联络感情。老太太拿着板凳，小朋友坐在爸爸的肩上，妇女们拿出自己的手机拍这这些戏曲人物。不一会小镇便万人空巷。我越拍越觉得我的理光RICOH GR Digital 有局限，09年买个单反+大炮吧.

大年三十这天早上，老爸和我去上坟。去年是我和嫂子，姐姐几个人去的，老爸说今年不要让姐姐和小孩去坟上了，跑来跑去的不方便。一路上老爸问我“个人问题”，我不知道该怎么说，就告诉他现在我要做的事情很多，缘分还没到吧。他对这样的回答显然不满意，不过老爸是个豁达宽容的人，虽然这事情很重要，但他知道我心里有数，也就没多问。剩下的时间便给我做了一个家族亲戚一年的“工作总结”，谁结婚了，谁有小孩了，谁挣大钱了，谁生病了。不一会走到了奶奶的坟前，奶奶的坟十几年前被县砖厂填埋，但老爸还能凭着远处山坡上的树和近处电线杆确定出奶奶的坟的准确位置。

上坟的人多了，到处飞舞着黑色的纸灰。继续上坡左拐便是妈妈的坟了。老爸说去年秋天天气暖和的时候，他一个人没事干借了把铁锨，镢头，背了两瓶啤酒和几个馒头给妈妈的坟上加了好多土。他说妈生前是个心宽体胖的人，这个坟头太小，跟妈妈的形象相差太远，就决定一个人去干了。他干一会累了，就坐在地上喘口气，点根烟，喝口啤酒，啃两口馒头。看似一点点的活他连干了两天。我走到母亲坟前时无语。记得去年给妈烧纸时，看着那个小小的坟头，飞起的纸灰，抛洒在纸钱里妈妈生前爱吃的零食时，我一下子放声大哭，哭得痛心，哭得痛快。看到今年的凸起的坟头，我安心，我高兴。爸此时蹲在我旁边拿着个小树枝挑着燃烧的纸钱，默默无语。但我知道在这个瞬间一场对话正在进行，一场属于他们的对话。纸灰燃尽，老爸起身，掸去身上的纸灰，双手背在身后朝坡下走去。

明天就过年了！

记得前不久看美国的新闻节目60 minutes 时，看到他长了很多肉。Michael Phelps 从奥运会后就一直没训练he was taking a long break from training，每天参加各种商业活动，日程安排很紧张。他说他一年365天每天训练，碰到生日，假期可能一天多练。就是这样的常年密集大强度训练grim regime 让这个大男孩在实现奥运8金梦想之后想做一个正常的年轻人。事后他很后悔地说

I’m 23 years old and despite the successes I’ve had in the pool, I acted in a youthful and inappropriate way, not in a manner people have come to expect from me. For this, I am sorry. 张磊还是一点没变，唯一和以前不一样的就是他结婚了。唱完歌去了张磊的新家，一起看了他和小米当时结婚的录像。看到他作为新郎站在那我还有点不敢相信，不过他俩看上去很幸福。录像上有一段婚车经过市区前往酒店，道路两旁都是大大小小的帐篷，他们结婚当天下午就有一次特别明显的地震。在这个危险时期结婚是需要一些胆量和勇气的。the wedding was held in the middle of May when the earthquake hit the Sichuan really hard ,and people from my home city was also affected .they spent most of the day outside of the house because of the possibility of another strong aftershock.i saw on their recorded video the tents of different sizes and kinds scattering along the streets when the wedding limousines made their way to the hotel ,the whole city looked like a ghost town ,completely deserted .

中国的腊月有点像国外的感恩节和圣诞节之间的疯狂。大伯全年生意的四分之一都得靠腊月，他最缺的就是人手，每年回去都会被无一例外得拉了壮丁。我现在是忍着腰酸背疼写博客。今天在大伯摊子上帮忙卖东西，站了七八个小时，一份盒饭吃了好几次，吃了几口就有人买东西，最后一份热饭成冷的了，干脆倒点开水菜泡饭！这个市场是小镇的生活方式的缩影。城里人去超市，乡下人来集贸市场。生活对很多农村人来说还是很艰苦。江米条，这是个很多70年代末出生的人都熟悉的零食，现在我估计没几个城里的小孩会嚷着让爸妈买，可是对一些农村孩子，它依然会给他们带来欣喜。老爸一有机会就给我说人要忆苦思甜啊，社会还很不公平，很多地方的农村生活还很艰苦，blah blah------

碑林之行的看到了名家的真迹，工匠们临摹碑文。对书法的了解很少，所以整个过程既有留恋之情，害怕遗忘什么该知道的东西。又有匆忙的感觉，不知道看点在哪！出来右行，上了城墙。从上看去，西安真是灰蒙蒙的一片。走得饿了，去吃了碗羊肉泡lamb soup with baked bread ，吃完后看着别人吃我又来劲了，又要了一碗。西安人的品牌意识最好的体现是大家排着30到50米长队买几家老字号的牛羊肉。路过高府好多次，不过这是第一次去，因为想着璐璐会很想知道里面是怎么回事，其实我也挺想的。一个大户人家的院子。很像电视剧里的关于晋商的住宅结构。陕西历史博物馆Shaanxi History Museum这次去免费，不过很多展品没有展。内部也做了小小的调整renovations，加入了网络游览virtual tour的项目，展厅里也配备了大屏幕plat screen显示，比上次好多了！

璐璐一路上瞪大了眼睛就怕错过了什么，游5（306）很方便，就在火车站边坐，一个小时便到了兵马俑the terracotta army。请了位导游tour guide，姓孟，人很好，很细心。先看铜车马four horse war chariot，孟导不停地说铜车马的很多技术今人都无法企及unparalleled craftsmanship！马匹的选择安排，马缰的捆扎，车手的姿态，遮阳伞的位置变换个个让人感叹古人智慧和对生活的追求。

走进一号坑时发现它和以前第一次来是有点不同了，不过那是很多年以前了。但又说不上来，好像是颜色有变化decay。有几点很有趣fun facts：

1.发现时基本都已毁坏all broken when discovered。

2.发现时基本都有颜色all painted when exhumed。

3.脸部表情没有一样的all facial features different。

4.都是杨老汉挖井的意外收获。all this would be impossible if the discoverer(local farmer) hadn't reported it to the local cultural affairs office when he was digging the well .

虽然这些我们都知道，但再次听到时还是有点难以置信。看完一号坑，孟导问璐璐和我有什么问题，我突然想到克林顿和家人曾经下到坑里过the Clintons went down to the pit and stood next to these statues，我想知道在哪，孟导指着入口左侧的方向，“就在那”，想想外国的君王站在秦始皇的军队之中，他自然对这个民族会产生敬仰和尊重。要是有个单反数码加好镜头就好了，什么都能看清楚了！

回到市区已是晚上，姐姐在我们出发前嘱咐我说带她女儿去吃个必胜客，说她念叨了好久了。行！小孩嘛，好奇。没想到这姑娘一看到真么多好吃的，话都不跟我说。吃完去了世纪金花后的回民街Muslim Quarter,是个穆斯林区，很特别。这地方就跟外国的唐人街China Town，小意大利Little Italy，法国区French Quarter一样。夜市很热闹，卖什么的都有。时间已经快十一点了，小摊也开始收了，我们慢慢地走在回宾馆的路上，看着晚上赶公交的行人，一下子有了一种久违的亲切和回归的感觉------

Getting a train ticket home before the spring festival rush（the largest human migration） seemed like a "mission impossible",and airline companies never offered good fares at this time of the year ,郭老师 asked if i needed a long ride home with his family .Fantastic!

for the first time i realized driving on the highway at 120kms/h is such a scary thing .your back hurts,your neck hurts ,your eyes hurt,your legs hurt,everything hurts.and you got to keep alert all the time .of course there are lots of "road rage".we kept talking ,trading gossips ,cranking jokes ,singing and we did everything we could to keep the only driver on the toe.

买回家的车票可谓是一波三折。机票贵，不是我主要的出行方式，不到万不得已不会买。火车票在会展中心的销售已经像是一场战争，大家通宵守候为的是一张回家的车票。不过排队买票的号码早已卖完，托的关系最后说他也没办法，这时我已决定买机票了。没想到好心的同事郭老师得知我的情况，主动问我让我搭他家的车回。一路上1500多公里，郭老师一家加我和另一位同事有说有笑，安全到家。车一进陕西潼关的收费站，大家都一下子来了劲。因为这意味着我们离家不远了。高速路上行驶最害怕的是疲劳驾驶。我唯一的任务就是跟郭老师说话，让他集中注意力。车到了西安郭老师开车下了高速，我们也相互道别，他们还要继续开回延安去，我顺便把这次开车的油费过路费用了九牛二虎之力强塞给了他们，没想到这一塞竟把这个地地道道的陕北汉子惹火了，说要跟我断交如果我给钱，不过我还是卷了一叠钱甩进车内，就这样匆匆道别。想想我们，想想那些回不了家的人，希望来年想回家看媳妇儿女的人，想回家探望父母的人都能顺利的买张火车票。

星期天早9点我们要在大剧院集合，我6：50起，初冬这个时间起是要点勇气的。还好有闹钟。从我的住所到大剧院就是从地图的南骑到北，然后集合。集合后有几张不熟悉的面孔，我有点小小的兴奋。大家一路有说有笑，两小时后到了山口。看见这样的山路一下我的劲就来了。好久没在这样的山路上骑过了，很爽！12点多我们安营扎寨，开始烧饭。打水，聊天，拍照，吃零食。这时的太阳正好，大家便一字排开，悠闲地晒了，听着通过音响里放出我的ipod的一首老歌“大海，我的故乡”，大家便开始问“你听这首歌的时候几岁”的问题，答案很多，今天的这群骑友中20，30，40，50，60都有。这比听“砖假”的讲座有意思多了。

时间很快过去了，我们一起打扫了现场，清理了垃圾，并由我打包带到了山下的农户家的垃圾桶里。我挺敬佩他们，更敬佩自己，因为挺身而出愿意拿垃圾的就三个人，其他人怕脏！心里虽有不平，但觉得做得心安理得，自然也就不去想他，谁让我是个要求高的人呢，哈哈^_^

前天晚姚叫我和老赵小余四人到一酒吧，人不多。买票进去，里面稀稀落落坐了二三十个人。过了一会，两位演奏者上台亮相。开场白就一句话，干脆明了。先是一个人弹guitar,前十分钟的暴躁的不理解的音乐搞得我耳朵嗡嗡的the music was very very very loud that my ears started ringing就有点坐不住了。过了一会乐手开始在台上蹦。后面那个吹saxophone,不过不是传统那种，他搞了很多玩意，有很多的即兴improvisation的东西。大家都开始觉得无聊，四处打探。第一次见识了这种音乐风格。挺新鲜，也挺无聊的，我体会不了。所有照片shot by BOB

第一次和朋友这么庆祝我的生日，也碰巧coincidence是爱尔兰一年一度的Saint Patrick's Day 。去阿达西吃了新疆菜，在三叶草酒吧大家有聊了聊。既然是爱尔兰的节日，哪么绿色Green （the colour most widely associated with Ireland, with Irish people），三叶草（St. Patrick used the shamrock, a three-leaved plant, to explain the Holy Trinity to the pre-Christian Irish）和爱尔兰啤酒Guinness就少不了了。消费超了，送了我一个节日短袖。那天破例喝了杯Guinness，其实对我不喝酒的人，喝不出什么差异。这个生日蛮好！

If there is anyone out there who still doubts that America is a place where all things are possible; who still wonders if the dream of our founders is alive in our time; who still questions the power of our democracy, tonight is your answer.

It’s the answer told by lines that stretched around schools and churches in numbers this nation has never seen; by people who waited three hours and four hours, many for the very first time in their lives, because they believed that this time must be different; that their voice could be that difference.

It’s the answer spoken by young and old, rich and poor, Democrat and Republican, black, white, Latino, Asian, Native American, gay, straight, disabled and not disabled – Americans who sent a message to the world that we have never been a collection of Red States and Blue States: we are, and always will be, the United States of America.

It’s the answer that led those who have been told for so long by so many to be cynical, and fearful, and doubtful of what we can achieve to put their hands on the arc of history and bend it once more toward the hope of a better day.

It’s been a long time coming, but tonight, because of what we did on this day, in this election, at this defining moment, change has come to America.

I just received a very gracious call from Senator McCain. He fought long and hard in this campaign, and he’s fought even longer and harder for the country he loves. He has endured sacrifices for America that most of us cannot begin to imagine, and we are better off for the service rendered by this brave and selfless leader. I congratulate him and Governor Palin for all they have achieved, and I look forward to working with them to renew this nation’s promise in the months ahead.

I want to thank my partner in this journey, a man who campaigned from his heart and spoke for the men and women he grew up with on the streets of Scranton and rode with on that train home to Delaware, the Vice President-elect of the United States, Joe Biden.

I would not be standing here tonight without the unyielding support of my best friend for the last sixteen years, the rock of our family and the love of my life, our nation’s next First Lady, Michelle Obama. Sasha and Malia, I love you both so much, and you have earned the new puppy that’s coming with us to the White House. And while she’s no longer with us, I know my grandmother is watching, along with the family that made me who I am. I miss them tonight, and know that my debt to them is beyond measure.

To my campaign manager David Plouffe, my chief strategist David Axelrod, and the best campaign team ever assembled in the history of politics – you made this happen, and I am forever grateful for what you’ve sacrificed to get it done.

But above all, I will never forget who this victory truly belongs to – it belongs to you.

I was never the likeliest candidate for this office. We didn’t start with much money or many endorsements. Our campaign was not hatched in the halls of Washington – it began in the backyards of Des Moines and the living rooms of Concord and the front porches of Charleston.

It was built by working men and women who dug into what little savings they had to give five dollars and ten dollars and twenty dollars to this cause. It grew strength from the young people who rejected the myth of their generation’s apathy; who left their homes and their families for jobs that offered little pay and less sleep; from the not-so-young people who braved the bitter cold and scorching heat to knock on the doors of perfect strangers; from the millions of Americans who volunteered, and organized, and proved that more than two centuries later, a government of the people, by the people and for the people has not perished from this Earth. This is your victory.

I know you didn’t do this just to win an election and I know you didn’t do it for me. You did it because you understand the enormity of the task that lies ahead. For even as we celebrate tonight, we know the challenges that tomorrow will bring are the greatest of our lifetime – two wars, a planet in peril, the worst financial crisis in a century. Even as we stand here tonight, we know there are brave Americans waking up in the deserts of Iraq and the mountains of Afghanistan to risk their lives for us. There are mothers and fathers who will lie awake after their children fall asleep and wonder how they’ll make the mortgage, or pay their doctor’s bills, or save enough for college. There is new energy to harness and new jobs to be created; new schools to build and threats to meet and alliances to repair.

The road ahead will be long. Our climb will be steep. We may not get there in one year or even one term, but America – I have never been more hopeful than I am tonight that we will get there. I promise you – we as a people will get there.

There will be setbacks and false starts. There are many who won’t agree with every decision or policy I make as President, and we know that government can’t solve every problem. But I will always be honest with you about the challenges we face. I will listen to you, especially when we disagree. And above all, I will ask you join in the work of remaking this nation the only way it’s been done in America for two-hundred and twenty-one years – block by block, brick by brick, calloused hand by calloused hand.

What began twenty-one months ago in the depths of winter must not end on this autumn night. This victory alone is not the change we seek – it is only the chance for us to make that change. And that cannot happen if we go back to the way things were. It cannot happen without you.
So let us summon a new spirit of patriotism; of service and responsibility where each of us resolves to pitch in and work harder and look after not only ourselves, but each other. Let us remember that if this financial crisis taught us anything, it’s that we cannot have a thriving Wall Street while Main Street suffers – in this country, we rise or fall as one nation; as one people.

Let us resist the temptation to fall back on the same partisanship and pettiness and immaturity that has poisoned our politics for so long. Let us remember that it was a man from this state who first carried the banner of the Republican Party to the White House – a party founded on the values of self-reliance, individual liberty, and national unity. Those are values we all share, and while the Democratic Party has won a great victory tonight, we do so with a measure of humility and determination to heal the divides that have held back our progress. As Lincoln said to a nation far more divided than ours, “We are not enemies, but friends…though passion may have strained it must not break our bonds of affection.” And to those Americans whose support I have yet to earn – I may not have won your vote, but I hear your voices, I need your help, and I will be your President too.

And to all those watching tonight from beyond our shores, from parliaments and palaces to those who are huddled around radios in the forgotten corners of our world – our stories are singular, but our destiny is shared, and a new dawn of American leadership is at hand. To those who would tear this world down – we will defeat you. To those who seek peace and security – we support you. And to all those who have wondered if America’s beacon still burns as bright – tonight we proved once more that the true strength of our nation comes not from our the might of our arms or the scale of our wealth, but from the enduring power of our ideals: democracy, liberty, opportunity, and unyielding hope.

For that is the true genius of America – that America can change. Our union can be perfected. And what we have already achieved gives us hope for what we can and must achieve tomorrow.
This election had many firsts and many stories that will be told for generations. But one that’s on my mind tonight is about a woman who cast her ballot in Atlanta. She’s a lot like the millions of others who stood in line to make their voice heard in this election except for one thing – Ann Nixon Cooper is 106 years old.

She was born just a generation past slavery; a time when there were no cars on the road or planes in the sky; when someone like her couldn’t vote for two reasons – because she was a woman and because of the colour of her skin.

And tonight, I think about all that she’s seen throughout her century in America – the heartache and the hope; the struggle and the progress; the times we were told that we can’t, and the people who pressed on with that American creed: Yes we can.

At a time when women’s voices were silenced and their hopes dismissed, she lived to see them stand up and speak out and reach for the ballot. Yes we can.

When there was despair in the dust bowl and depression across the land, she saw a nation conquer fear itself with a New Deal, new jobs and a new sense of common purpose. Yes we can.
When the bombs fell on our harbour and tyranny threatened the world, she was there to witness a generation rise to greatness and a democracy was saved. Yes we can.

She was there for the buses in Montgomery, the hoses in Birmingham, a bridge in Selma, and a preacher from Atlanta who told a people that “We Shall Overcome.” Yes we can.

A man touched down on the moon, a wall came down in Berlin, a world was connected by our own science and imagination. And this year, in this election, she touched her finger to a screen, and cast her vote, because after 106 years in America, through the best of times and the darkest of hours, she knows how America can change. Yes we can.

America, we have come so far. We have seen so much. But there is so much more to do. So tonight, let us ask ourselves – if our children should live to see the next century; if my daughters should be so lucky to live as long as Ann Nixon Cooper, what change will they see? What progress will we have made?

This is our chance to answer that call. This is our moment. This is our time – to put our people back to work and open doors of opportunity for our kids; to restore prosperity and promote the cause of peace; to reclaim the American Dream and reaffirm that fundamental truth – that out of many, we are one; that while we breathe, we hope, and where we are met with cynicism, and doubt, and those who tell us that we can’t, we will respond with that timeless creed that sums up the spirit of a people:

Yes We Can. Thank you, God bless you, and may God Bless the United States of America.

美国的历史被重写！几天前还在为Barack Obama捏着一把汗，希望8年前格尔的事情不会发生在他身上。回到办公室，打开纽约时报，看到的最醒目的就是他当选的消息。他的当选本身就是一个美国梦的实现。看着视频里的普通老百姓的期望的目光，欣喜的表情，看着黑人民权领袖Jesse Jackson也为他鼓掌，著名黑人女主持人Oprah Winfrey的激动，我也很有感触。听到他接连说出yes we can 时，我感觉自己内心也突然有了光亮和希望。视频放完了，我还是有点意犹未尽。脑子里还在想着ideal , American Dream, opportunity ，demoracy 的最能体现美国精神的字眼。As far as my country is concerned ,i have no idea where it is going !

交通----宁波到临海大巴coach，自行车拆卸后装在大巴车行李舱内，须做好司机车站的解释工作，有时会很麻烦，我们此行多亏老将叫了一辆客户的车才免了很多的麻烦。由于车内人坐的地方不够，我和其他几位主动提出坐大巴好了。以前的骑友小王在客运中心工作，连费用也免了。

吃-----车一到临海蚂蚁开始为晚上做饭买东西，我们便按照安排自己准备山上会用到的自用的食品。开始骑车前的第一顿饭吃的四川菜。上山后阿杜主动请缨负责饭菜。老将由于车爆胎了flat tyre，被拉上山了，到的早开始洗菜。大部队一到阿杜便开始烧饭。随后，蚂蚁也，我，阿宝，AA姐都加入进来。阿杜的热心一下子给他带来好运，AA姐边看边问，“你结婚了吗？”，阿杜的回答十足让她失望，AA说“还说给你介绍个对象呢fix you up with someone！”.大多数人在干活，不过还是有些人只动嘴不懂手some people just paid lip service。这顿饭吃的很爽。一盆虾shrimps，两盆大盘鸡chicken，一盆凉拌黄瓜cucumber，一盆乱炖stew。听到我们这边很热闹，旁边的露营的人送来了啤酒和大灯。第二天一早老将就开始给大家煎鸡蛋，然后阿杜和我开始烤饼，烤饼加煎鸡蛋fried eggs，中式营养早餐。下山后我们又回到那家川菜馆，猛吃了一顿。
住------晚饭后，我和阿杜开始搭帐篷pitch the tent。风太大了，可选的地方也不够。风把刚撑好的架子poles吹倒了。后来搭在了草地上，加了地钉tent stakes，可是天黑，又有雾，虽然戴头灯，但外面的防风层tarp还是斜着的，就这么吧。睡在帐篷里感觉心里很舒服，起初一点都不冷，可是到了临晨，我们都开始缩在一起了。阿杜只好把脚放到背包里了。拍了几张照片便睡了。第二天离开前AA姐发动大家把垃圾收集好collect the trash，统一处理。
行----整个路段是上山。坡不陡，但很多很长，我和老罗搭档一起，向上骑。山里空气出奇的好。有水，有山，有鸟，我和老罗一边骑一边聊，过了不知多久，我们终于到了。太开心了，有种成就感。其实遗憾也是有的，some eyesores比如看到很多以前露营的人的碎啤酒瓶broken beer bottles，易拉罐cans，塑料袋，晚上音乐太吵loud music等，真是不希望游客给当地人留下个烂摊子。回想起来这两天过得很快，想想蚂蚁的操劳，阿宝的大度，AA姐的细心，阿杜的责任感这些都是让人值得回味的。

厦门之行trip to Xiamen因为台风typhoon被迫取消cancelled，那天开准备会，大家都有点郁闷upset。没办法下次吧！两天后天气转好cleared up，肥羊便组织了这次活动。福泉山我第一次爬，全程都是爬坡uphill climb路段，一个接一个。今天状态不好，第一，昨晚两点睡得觉went to bed at 2 am。第二，早饭就吃了个豆浆和菜包soy milk and steamed buns with veg fillings。我是8：50和大家会面，开始骑行的。刚开始没觉得什么，大概平缓路段一过first leg was a bit easy，just followed the pack.我已经汗如雨下。开始上山后uphill leg ，空气冷了，风也凉了air was a lot cooler，我开始流鼻涕my nose was running，打喷嚏i kept sneezing，我应该没这么娇气的i rode like a sissy。哎，昨晚该早点睡。should have gone to bed earlier!我不停告诉自己不要停下来，哪怕再慢，都要蹬，i kept telling myself "dont you dare get off that bike ,as long as you stay on it ,keep pedaling ,then you are gonna make it. 内心的挣扎inner conflict很艰苦。不过我相信我可以的。爬坡段我落后了，但我没停，很高心在山顶汇合，听到的第一句话就是大家的鼓励！我的女骑友说“我已经睡了一觉了” ，我想从上山跳下来！下山就是一个字，爽awesome.我在下山的时候才体会到了上山的不易和艰苦。you never know what going uphill means untill you experience the high you get from going downhill. 下山后我体内的所有能量全部耗尽exhausted，my legs almost gave out.我落后了i lagged behind，看到汽车就想拦，看见电动车就像带，能看到小孩吃东西的话，我肯定去抢了i was so starving that i would have robbed someone of their foods if i had seen someone。不过，挺了一下还是过来了。到了动物园门口，我的防线全线崩溃，吃了个煎饼，三个面包，两个南瓜饼。然后便一路起到农家乐，吃了点蔬菜，08年10月2号的骑行就画上了句号。十分感谢肥羊等几位骑友的耐心等待和周到的组织，谢谢。

五年前的黄山之行（2003.10.1---7）Yellow Montain

晚上无意中在老赵的移动硬盘里找到了五年前去黄山的照片，又吃惊，又高兴。听起来都是好久以前的事了。按照照片属性里的日期是03年十一去的，我和BOB,当时设备简陋，行程简单，吃住只要干净卫生就行。记得当晚住在山脚下的农户旅店里，二十几块一个床，洗洗就睡了。第二天黄山大雾，小雨，到了顶峰十米以外的东西都看不清楚，所以只能看老外和女人了，漂亮女人。就在无聊时，雾气突然消失，我们抓紧拍照，这下眼前的东西都清晰可见，一幅典型的中国山水画，这时拿起电话给老妈打了电话，告诉他们我在黄山，我和旅游的love affair 就从这一刻了。小女孩是姚辉所拍住在西递的日子很舒服，吃得好，住的干净。客栈的老板娘很健谈，不时给我们看家人的照片。她家很大，室内还有个小亭子，可以看看鱼。价格低的可怜。怀念西递，怀念热情的老板一人。

宏村很美，村前有荷花塘，村中有个大水塘，村后是个小山。前一晚睡得香，早上两人爬到后山俯瞰，很是特别。那是的西递宏村还有农村的样子，不知现在怎样，估计已经大不如前。

今天去了一个地方，为了祖国的国家安全national security就不透漏地点和其中人物的真实姓名！以免危及到我们的生命安全！我们在国购的starbucks和蓝雨流星见的，还有她的小同事。好久不见了，她气色特别的好，小万也是个直爽的人，不一会大家那种久未谋面的紧张就没了。她说要买相机，便一起去看，不过她还是拿不定主意。说着便下雨了，她说去她单位，她叫来司机小李接我们过去。单位不大，她的办公室的橱柜的一排茶杯吸引了我，上面写着部队领导的职位。All the tea cups in the cupboard are marked by a sticker saying their ranks桌子上的老电脑不准上网，并且要保密confidential，有意思，很难想象不能上网的日子要怎么熬！除了上网，其他的许多活动设施都有。然后打了snoker，唱了几首姜育恒的老歌，小万唱得歌大多我不熟，估计是代沟。晚饭吃得很好，每个菜都好，可能大家都是北方的，怎么吃都能吃到一起去。两个月后，她们就要退伍discharge了。

明天要穿西装打领带啦，出席一个重要活动，新闻发布会suit up for the press conference。今天去理发，像样的领带也没有呢，借吧！i need a tie .理完发去买了条皮带belt,一年大概穿两次西装，都是被逼的。这次是作一个赛事的同声传译interpreter，没办法。刚把资料看完，累啊！去睡了，希望明天一切顺利，我相信不会有问题的！去看看老爸的理发是九月七号的日志

China Detains 19 as Toxic Formula Sickens Hundreds of Infants

SHANGHAI — China said Saturday that 19 people had been detained by the police as part of an investigation into how baby formula had become contaminated with an industrial chemical. The formula is implicated in the death of one infant, and at least 432 others have been afflicted with kidney problems.

The government also said Saturday that the Sanlu Group, China’s biggest producer of milk powder formula, had first received complaints about its powder in March and had recalled some products but delayed reporting the problems to the government or the public.

Last week, the Sanlu Group recalled 700 tons of powdered formula, and on Saturday the government said the company had been ordered to stop producing and selling powdered formula.

In the United States, the Food and Drug Administration said that no infant formula from China had been approved for import.Beijing’s highest government agencies ordered a “first-class national food emergency response” on Saturday, calling for a thorough investigation into the causes of the contamination and offering aid to infants suffering from kidney stones.

“This is a severe food safety accident,” Gao Qiang, the vice minister of health, said at a news conference on Saturday.

The government said that a preliminary investigation had determined that the infant formula had been contaminated by melamine, an industrial chemical that is used in some plastics. The government said it thought the melamine had been intentionally added to the powder to make it seem to have more protein.

Last year, the same chemical was found in animal feed from China that was then sold to pet food makers in the United States, sickening hundreds of cats and dogs. This touched off an international trade dispute and questions about the safety of products from China.

In interviews with melamine producers and sellers last year, several acknowledged that melamine was commonly used to artificially raise the protein count in a variety of foods, fish feeds and even dairy products.Melamine, which can be created from coal, is high in nitrogen and for decades has been used by farmers to bolster protein counts in food and feed. Food safety officials in Beijing said Saturday that dairy producers could have used cheap melamine filler to make the infant formula powder seem far richer.

Last year, however, Beijing insisted that its food supply was largely safe. The government also started a nationwide campaign to root out food and product safety problems. It even executed the head of the food and drug administration after he had been found guilty of dereliction of duty.

i can't help feeling old because my students are already in their senior year ,and the orientation week seemed like the thing of yesterday.every year we change the makeup of the class committee ,but the positions on the committee is not as attractive as they used to be because they all have their priority ,which is to find a good job.it took us forever to find enough people to form a new class committee and they wanted me to take them(new guys and their predecessors) to dinner,which i think it should be the other way around . kidding ! this chicken dish we had is nothing but potato. i gotta go .good luck with your senior year in school and have fun!

去年过年回家帮大伯的干货店grocery store 卖东西，每天七点起，随便吃个肉夹馍喝碗醪糟，就去他店里了，老爸早都到了，大伯一家人都摆好东西了等者赶集的人来询问。来晚的我觉得有点不好意思embarrassed。心理想“卖东西的时候我会卖力的i will make it up to you by working hard ”。九点一过，市场里人渐渐多起来了。四间店面，十几个人，还是忙不过来。我负责糖果candy，每样东西的价格没过两天都可以背下来了know it like the back of my hand。中午饭经常是下午三点吃，这时人少了。到吃的时候已经是饥肠辘辘了starving，所以就贪吃，吃得人起胀，晚上回去胃不舒服，老爸说我没出息！十天下来，我的一套户外衣服都成了工作服了，磨得发亮了！再过两天过年了，我和老爸去家属院下的理发馆barbershop理发。这些东西很熟悉，这个套路很熟悉。很暖和，室内有土空调“炮弹炉子”locally-made heater。理发的女的很热情。和我在这边不一样的是老爸理发的地方坐着洗头，我在这边躺着洗。他付三块五，我付很多。他理完头上没发渣，我理完还要加钱把头洗干净。我不知道自己是文明了，还是时尚了，总之，老的东西为什么就这样消声匿迹了呢，取而代之的是付出更多的代价，而效果不见得就好。好多年轻理发师觉得理短发没技术含量吧。

第四季是报仇Revenge.
去年的什么时候开始看，一看就addicted to it ,去碟店把整个season买了回来，一口气at one sitting把半个季看完了，熬夜很晚stayed up .看完已是两三点了。里面的T-bag太形象了。这个剧本script写得太绝了，对人的智商是一个考验，i wonder how they come up with such a wonderful plot and make it knit closely.第四季上了，有的期待了。我有一度甚至把我的头发理成michael的样子，大家看看，不要笑！我很像刚放出来的convict

我在连着写“会”的时候，突然觉得它不像“会”字了。会开多了也许也有这个感觉吧。新学期的第一条开会的短信，这将是我们在开会的艰苦卓绝的道路上的第一关，以后还会有更多的能够反映大家心声和疾苦的民主的团结的公开的和谐的冗长的有成效的大的小的集体的办公室的分院的全院的要求签到的有中国特色的会。谢谢大家，今天的会议就到这，哦，我再补充一点…………………TNND!

旧的不去，新的不来！

前天晚上请老赵吃饭，一个假期大家都各忙各的，手头的事情都处理的差不多了，都有心思坐下来安安稳稳的吃顿饭，吃得很舒坦！完了后，刘姐Lucy说去massage一下，她有票。老赵和刘姐足浴，我们松骨。去了后这次是中式按摩Chinese massage，跟上次的泰式相差很大，Thai Massage is very intense，动作多，我上次被按后，浑身痛了好几天，疼的我直叫，我的按摩师一个劲的让我stop screaming,but i can't ,it hurt ! 这次我的按摩师很好，太舒服了。80 分钟后，time is up .我正要pushed myself up and squatted on my heel ,i heard a long "z z z z z z z " sound ! God ,i'm screwed ,i put my hand on my ass trying to find where it broke , Bob stood next to me almost laughing his head off ！！！THANK GOD,it is dark and late ,otherwise i would be cover up my end all the way to the cab. ok ,旧的不去，新的不来，let's go shopping tomorrow!

第一次听他们的歌是在前不久淘碟的时候，我买了一套《Live Earth》的演唱会，是美国前副总统Al Gore 发动的以环保为主题的同时在几大洲重要城市的concerts,主要是take action to solve the climate crisis。里面唱歌的人一半认识，一半不认识。不过snow patrol的shut your eyes这首歌我很喜欢，昨天还推荐给户外店的老板，他说很棒！我在wikipedia里一查，这个乐队来自苏格兰的邓迪Dundee，主唱叫Gary Lightbody .

车展Auto Show @ 背包Backpack

让大家失望了，车展上美女不多。转了一圈也找不到个惊艳过人的。只好将就的拍吧。Bob今天让我用他的Nikon数码，镜头很长很重的那种，太爽了。是不是搞摄影的，看上去就像那么回事，我把镜头一对准这些模特model ，她们都everyone was posing for me because of the big camera i was holding。太有控制力了！可能是累，这些女孩都一个个心不在焉的preoccupied。展出的车基本是家用轿车most are family cars ，奢侈品车Luxury Car 寥寥无几，可能还没有街道上看到的多。这是Bob站在他的爱车旁边Bob's dream car .

看完车展我们两个吃了个饺子，然后去看帐篷了。一直说要买，但不是这事就是那事，昨晚把几乎所有的户外店outdoor retailer 都转了一圈，问东问西的。之前在网上做了很多调查on-line research，看来还是很管用的。先是买了帐篷tent+垫子mattress+睡袋sleeping bag+头灯headlamp+背包backpack+口哨whistle==$$$$好多银子啊 .每件东西我都喜欢，尤其是这个包，是德国的Deuter（多特）。一路上就幻想着背着包和哪个女人去爬山的“美好画卷”。回来后我让Bob把他的Berghaus和我的Deuter塞满坐垫枕头摆在床上比compare 了一下，各有千秋。下一步就是决定去哪了。睡觉！！

很遗憾没时间照张像作个纪念。时隔五个月Esther出差到宁波来看看老朋友，还给我带了件很喜欢的外套。她变白了，刚见面时我强烈要求拥抱一下。现在越来越喜欢拥抱了，很释放，很真诚。前天被安排监考，没时间好好聊聊。cissay的老公和岳父岳母又做了吨羊肉烩面片子，和几个小菜，个个经典！我的最爱是cissay妈妈烙的饼，跟我妈做的一模一样。哎，可惜不能天天去人家家混饭啊。奥运会闭幕式很无聊，看完就和bob回去了，读了两章关于佛的书睡了。上床后想想cici和张勇刚，Esther和Bob,很是羡慕，看到合适的夫妻和男女朋友，你会很自然的感觉到舒服和为他们感到高兴。

US Olympic swimmer Eric Shanteau is off to Beijing with a diagnosis of testicular cancer, and will delay his surgery until after he competes there.his father was diagnosed with lung cancer a year ago and is still fighting the disease."You don't want anyone in your family to have cancer. When I got it, it was kind of like insult to injury," the swimmer said. "But as far as I'm concerned, it's helped me to kind of relate to what he's going through a little more. I understand the process and the mentality of having cancer.""It's kind of put the whole sport in perspective," he said. "I don't put more pressure on what I'm doing. I can kind of relax and have fun. That helps a lot.

Dutch leukemia survivor Maarten van der Weijden completed another sporting fairytale to seize the gold medal in the men's 10km race. Van der Weijden, who successfully beat cancer after being diagnosed in 2001, produced a powerful burst at the finish to win in 1hr 51min 51.6sec

★说实话，一说起癌症人们自然联想到死亡。人对生命的渴望，在肿瘤科里是最明显的。手术，化疗，放疗，中药，几轮过后人已经是面目全非了。腰驮了，人瘦了，头发掉了，多活一天就是人的每天的目标和成就。看到这些运动员们今天的成就，可以想象有多少人为之努力，父母，儿女，朋友，亲戚，同事，战友，他们的感受外人无法体会，他们对生活中平常东西的体味也和我们大相径庭。也就在这个时刻每个人意识到生命中对他们意义最大的是什么？我猜一定不是一套100多平米的商品房，也不是职称从初级变高级，也不是从自行车改汽车。听到这样死里逃生故事我心情很复杂，我不知道当有人问我在他面对这样的选择的时候，是选择战斗下去呢，还是最大限度的过好剩下的日子？我矛盾，我无语！

Lost but not found & Earthquake地震

I lost my cellphone two days ago ,and i never expected it meant a lot to me . i felt i was cut off from what is going on around me .no calls,no messages ,nothing .it is like you didint exist ,and you evaporated and disappeared off the face of the earth and the worst part is nobody knew it .for a long time ,i didnt know i was so attached to these stuffs untill yestarday .Looking at these 3 messages i got shortly after the earthquake happened,i began to admit i can't function properly without this small amazing machine.
2008年5月12日当天我下课回到办公室上网，收到一个哥哥的短信说家里地震，我真的不相信，怎么可能呢！地震？开玩笑嘛！我就将信将疑的上网一搜，我都傻了，赶紧电话回去，老爸说他在小区门口的粮油店门口坐着“片寒船”呢，然后有人喊地震了，然后就是楼房晃，地摇，人有点晕。他说他没事，然后又给姐姐，家里的朋友一一电话，随后的几天每天就在看电视，打电话，感动中渡过。武警，解放军，一般老百姓都表现的很棒！在那几天我觉得作中国人真好。几天后在淘宝上给姐姐家买了个帐篷，快递了回去，璐璐说睡在里面挺好的！老爸也没事，一切恢复正常。

my niece Shunshun马上就要回来了，哥哥也可能等不急了，我也好长时间没见到他们了。小孩长起来真快，去年给她和她姐姐买的衣服今年就不能穿了。路过T-shirt DIY 小店，看到了几个很可爱的短袖，给自己，璐璐，顺顺各买了一件。我一直喜欢买T-shirt,很多童装店的老板说我喜欢男孩，因为我买的衣服很中性。我在性别上没偏好。只不过不想把这些小孩打扮的太女人girly 。上次顺顺的幼儿园组织孩子和家长的郊游outing，我也加入了。动物园很大，很多小动物都可以随便跑的，第一次见大熊猫我也觉得有意思，不过有些动物看上去很无精打采的，最不好的就是看到一只大象的脚被绑起来了，这样他就很难跑了。顺和她的幼儿园小朋友和妈妈玩得都很开心，我猜爸妈都来参加孩子集体活动的家庭并不多。

昨天去骑了一天车，我6点起床，下午6点回来，中午最热的时候正是玩得最起劲的时候。整个行程大概五六十公里吧，所以今天不停的吃，还是感觉饿，晚上叫了阿杜一家三口去吃川菜Sichuan foods 大排档 roadside restaurant ，多多被辣得嚷着要不停的喝水，吃完了我告诉阿杜我想去买个帐篷tent以后有时间可以和他们一家三口或者哥哥一家去野营camping，我们住的附近都是野营的好去处，或者爬山也行。明天去市区看看。
